How Does Air Quality Testing Work?

HomeBlogHow Does Air Quality Testing Work?

With the rising amount of air quality warnings, fires, and other pollutants in the outdoor air, you want to be able to rest assured knowing that the air quality inside your home is being made better than the quality of the air outside. But how can you know for sure?

How Does Air Quality Testing Work?

This is where air quality testing comes in. Air quality testing takes into account a number of factors, like particles in the air, temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide levels, and VOCs (also known as volatile organic compounds). When we come in to perform air quality testing in your home, we identify the fundamental structures involved in keeping your indoor air clean, in order to catch any obvious issues. However, we also will test the air itself, making sure we can catch any harmful levels of air pollutants before they can get worse and cause further problems.

Regular air quality testing for your indoor environment is important because, for many of us, we spend most of our lives indoors — we work indoors, sleep indoors, watch movies and play games indoors. Your home is meant to be a safe haven away from the rest of the outside, including any bad air quality you may encounter in the great outdoors. Spending time in an area with good air quality is overall better for your health, your mood, and your general wellbeing.
